Keep It Sacred Sister
My name is Delfina Ure, I'm the founder and executive director of Keep It Sacred Sister (KISS), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization helping survivors of sexual abuse connect to resources and care. I started KISS in 2018 after becoming a YWCA sexual abuse hotline advocate when I accompanied a survivor to the hospital for her rape exam. During this time I learned that women who report their rape turn in their panties as evidence and are given borrowed clothes to go home in. My survivor sisters and I knew we had to do something for her. So we formed the non-profit. KISS provides care-kits to survivors in hospitals and clinics after their rape exam, as well as to women living in restoration homes having been rescued out of sex trafficking and domestic violence. Donate a $10 care-kit
We're also personalizing the way a survivor gets help by developing a KISS mobile app and disrupting rape culture on college campuses by creating a single-rating system for schools based on multiple measures of safety.
